Operation Cast Thy Bread was a top-secret biological warfare operation conducted by the Haganah and later the Israel Defense Forces that began in April 1948, during the 1948 Palestine war. The Haganah used typhoid bacteria to contaminate drinking water wells in violation of the 1925 Geneva Protocol. Sixty years ago, on July 22, 1946, Jews disguised as Arabs carried out an attack on the King David Hotel in order to drive the British out of Palestine, pin the blame on Arabs, and establish a Jewish state. The leader of the terrorist group was Menachem Begin, who went on to become Prime Minister of Israel in 1977. 

Irgun and Menachem Begin did not stop planting bombs in Palestine to terrorize the population, even before 1948... just in the month of December 1947, on the 4th of that month, Irgun planted bombs in cafés, in bus stations, threw grenades at civilians... on the 29th they planted a bomb at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, killing 17 Palestinians, and one day later, on December 30, Irgun threw fragmentation grenades in Haifa Bay against more than 100 Palestinian workers, killing 6 and injuring another 42.

Before 1948, the land of Palestine was under British control. Into this territory came organized Ashkenazi Zionist militias armed gangs that waged a campaign of terror to carve out a Jewish state. 

Irgun bombed the King David Hotel in Jerusalem on July 22, 1946, killing 91 people (41 Arabs, 28 British, 17 Jews) and injuring 46. This was the British administrative headquarters.
