New footage is circulating of Israeli officials discussing orders on October 7 that risked killing their own hostages. 

The Hannibal Directive, which prevented abductions at all costs, was reportedly applied in multiple places. Israeli reporting and former Defense Minister Gallant have acknowledged this, and Israeli fire did kill some hostages.
